Ethan Cowden – Director of Golf 

   

Ethan has been a member of the Club for 12 years, completed his traineeship at the Club in 2013 and was the assistant teaching professional until the beginning of 2016.  For the past 20 months, Ethan has been Assistant Manager and Head Professional at Yarrambat Park Golf Club.

Nathan Condon – Assistant Professional / Teaching Professional

   

“Nathan has been a passionate golfer for over 20 years, developing skills very quickly and changing his initial handicap of 27 to 5 within 2 years, he continued to refine his skills before heading to University to Study a Bachelor of Human Movement Science(2003). After 10 years in the Exercise Prescription and Rehab industry, he decided to pursue a career in golf, practising regularly had him a 2 x East Gippsland District Champion and the Waverley Golf Club Champion in 2013.

In 2015 Nathan embarked on a PGA Traineeship at Warragul Country Club, moving in his 3rd year to Woodlands GC where he completed his studies. Now a fully qualified PGA Professional Advanced in Coaching Nathan offers a very comprehensive range of skills to help all golfers increase their enjoyment of the game. With experience in current golf teaching approaches such as Trackman, K-Vest, Gasp-lab, Sam Putt Lab, Flight Scope and is TPI Certified in Golf Fitness and offers Gravity fit throughout his lessons.

Being self-taught he believes in improving the effective parts of a client’s swing before making wholesale changes. Nathan also excelled through his Traineeship in club fitting and looks forward to helping any golfer find their best equipment to suit their ability and aspirations.

 




Catherine Odgers – 3rd Year PGA Trainee 

   

Catherine has joined us from Growling Frog Golf Course where she has completed the first two years of her PGA Traineeship. Prior to undertaking her traineeship she spent four years in the States where she played college golf at Oklahoma Christian University. Cat is excited to complete her final year of her training with us at Woodlands Golf Club and we look forward to her becoming a valuable addition to the Club.

 



Steven Horstmann – PGA Teaching Professional

   

Steve is a PGA Advanced Coach, TPI-certified and has been the Head Teaching Pro at Woodlands Golf Club since 2010, assisting both members and non-members with the development of their golf game. Prior to his current role, Steve played pennant for Woodlands (1997-2000) and completed a PGA Golf Professional traineeship (2001-2003) to become a full PGA member in 2004. Over the following eight years, he played on the PGA Tour Australasia and professional tournaments overseas, providing golf tuition at Woodlands when at home.

Steve is a versatile coach with a particular passion for developing junior golfers who is diligent in ensuring he remains up-to-date on the latest methods of teaching, and applying use of the latest technologies (such as Trackman), golf equipment and trends into individual lessons/golf programs where appropriate.

David Thomas – PGA Teaching Professional
   

 

Teaching Professional – David is PGA Advanced Coach and Australian K-Vest Educational Board Member who is a qualified instructor in a variety of modern golf teaching technologies that he has brought to Woodlands to help improve your game. Systems include; Trackman, Flight Scope, K-Vest Bio mechanic training, SAM Putt Lab & Balance Lab . With 18 years full time coaching experience he is energetic and passionate about coaching and is committed to providing training in a professional manner together with up to date knowledge and the most advanced training equipment and aids.
