Your Sandbelt Pilgrimage

Authentic hospitality for the well-researched golfer.

Woodlands Golf Club is a private members’ club. We warmly welcome visitors through our Manager Introduced Guests programme. Green fee play is available upon application, and we take pride in ensuring every visitor enjoys an experience that reflects the standards and spirit of our club.

If you’re planning a Sandbelt trip, we encourage you to make Woodlands part of your itinerary. Golfers who know and appreciate strategic architecture consistently rate Woodlands as one of the highlights of their Melbourne visit.

The Guest Experience

At Woodlands, we treat visitors like members for a day.

We know that if you’ve travelled to play here, you appreciate golf architecture and the firm and fast conditions of the Melbourne Sandbelt. We want you to leave having experienced not just a great course, but a genuine insight into Sandbelt club life.

Heritage Briefing

Every guest receives a personal welcome and a briefing on the strategic nuances of the course — so you can approach each hole with an understanding of the design intent, not just the yardage.

Unrivalled Conditioning

Bent-grass greens and fescue surrounds maintained to the same exacting standards as Royal Melbourne. Our narrow couch fairways offer a playing surface that is increasingly rare in modern golf.

The Hunter’s Pie

No visit is complete without our signature slow-braised kangaroo and wattle-seed creation — a dish that pays homage to Woodlands’ founding heritage and has become a talking point among visitors from around the world.

The 19th Hole — Literally

Woodlands is one of the very few clubs in the world with a genuine 19th hole — designed by Tom Doak to commemorate our Centenary in 2013. Play it after your round, and cap off a memorable day properly.

A Warm Welcome

We are hosts, not gatekeepers. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, you’ll feel the genuine Woodlands hospitality that our members enjoy every day.
